Adventure... one word at a time

I teach kids and teens who make me laugh, fascinate and inspire.
I love adventuring (real or imagined) and I enjoy nothing more than exploring new countries. I can't help talking to strangers and quizzing them about their lives and can sometimes be found embarrassing my kids by hugging trees (and writing this lol).

This novel was inspired by a Christmas shoebox campaign, a young daughter who was 'a very bad sharer' and a series of pet hamsters who liked disappearing, perhaps in search of adventure.

I also do author visits and interactive workshops.

I started writing because characters began setting up home in my head and wouldn't leave until I'd written them out which I do best in the  comfort of my shed at the bottom of my garden which I like to pretend is in Thailand (see picture above).  I've also written a couple of Christmas films.
